Full Moon February 1, 2026 in Leo

Moon Magic is back!  

I started writing about the influence of the Moon on our lives when I published Healers Almanac, Wisdom from the 21st Century  Goddess.  In this next series of Moon Magic articles, I will bring in the Goddess of the Month and tie it into the rest of the Lunar Astrology.  Then I’ll give you a quick ritual to help you really connect with the Magic of the New and Full Moon.

A Full Moon is always about culmination, release, and illumination. The Full Moon in Leo opposes the Sun in Aquarius and this creates a dynamic polarity between your own expression and your community. But Leo is no stranger to being the eccentric one. This Full Moon wants you to express yourself and be seen! Go ahead and celebrate what you've accomplished over the last few weeks. While you’re at it, let go of all that negative self talk. 

Other astrological influences we will be feeling.

Sun in Aquarius Opposite Leo Moon highlights how you show up in groups, in your networking, and on social media. With the Sun entering into Pisces later in the month, you’ll start getting the intuitive pings that awakens inner sensitivity and brings out your compassionate side. 

Mars opposing the moon is a transit that can bring heightened emotions, ambition, and increased assertiveness or irritation. Let that garbage slide my friend. 

Overall, this February Full Moon asks you to balance your personal desires (Moon in Leo) with group dynamics and objectivity (Sun in Aquarius). Watch out for intense emotions but don’t forget to end what needs to be ended while shining the light on your talents, creativity and confidence. 

In Chinese Astrology we enter the Year of the Fire Horse on the 17th. The overall energy will be energetic, almost impulsive and full of passion, creativity and courage.  

The lesson of the Fire Horse is to learn to balance the elements of your life. Between freedom and commitment, tyranny and constructive leadership and truth and manipulation. All of this is supported by the energy of the number 10 or 1. In numerology, the 10 year means co-creativity and the 1 is new beginnings. The year 2026 is a 10 /1 year.

Easy Ritual for the Full Moon in Leo.

You will need the Astro Magic Full Moon (Let it Go) Spray. This Leo energy is great, but you need to keep it humble.  Any time you feel triggered by something someone said about you, spray that Let it Go Spray around you and keep on trucking.  Now is the time to shine, not quibble with small thinking people.
